Details
The Beam Bench, Deep Brown Pine is a sturdy wooden bench designed for flexible use in entryways, hallways, bedrooms, and living spaces. Made from FSC®-certified solid Bosnian pine, it includes a long lower shelf for storing shoes, bags, storage boxes, or other everyday items. Designed by Herman Studio, the bench is inspired by classic H-profiles from construction. The wide side frames create a strong graphic shape and allow the screws joining the legs and horizontal surfaces to remain concealed, giving the bench a clean and purposeful expression. The bench is finished in a deep brown matt lacquer for added protection and ships unassembled in six pieces. Form & Refine notes that the Ordinary Storage Box fits neatly into the Beam Bench, making it useful as both seating and practical storage.

Brand
Form + Refine
Form & Refine was founded in 2018 by Helle Herman Mortensen, Jonas Herman Pedersen and Lasse Lund Lauridsen– based on the common vision of creating a value-driven design brand that explores materials and preserves our earth and craft cultures through an exceptional design philosophy. They also believe in making a positive social impact and preserving crafts by working with cooperatives and smaller workshops to create fair and respectful partnerships. Among others, they support a cooperative of alpaca farmers in the highlands of Bolivia through the art of weaving and ancient wisdom.
